His Amazing Love
Today (May 11) is my sweetheart’s birthday. A man that I have known all of my life but have had the blessing of being with for the last several years. Antonio, you are my rock and many times the hand of God in my life. Happy birthday Amore. You have shown me what it is to be loved in a way that is steadfast and true. You have blessed my life with the patience and wisdom of true love. You have inspired me and I aspire daily to be more like the strength that you are to me.
Daily Prompt: I Want to Know What Love Is – May 11
We each have many types of love relationships — parents, children, spouses, friends. And they’re not always with people; you may love an animal, or a place. Is there a single idea or definition that runs through all the varieties of “love”?
His Love
Beautiful heart, so precious so pure
Brought here to love, brought here to cure
Brought here to carry, brought here to give
Brought to enable the broken to live
Selflessly living, giving His soul
Compassion the motive, healing His goal
Bestowing grace on the weary and broken
Benevolent Savior, lived actions not spoken
Not seeking reward for His selfless way
Fulfilled by a smile from a child on his way
Broken of spirit drew to His side
He smiled and blessed, His arms opened wide
He lived for your blessing, He died for your life
Not welcomed by any, surrounded in strife
Alone in His purpose, His heart sang out love
Here for your blessing, God’s gift from above
He whispers His love in your broken heart’s ear
He calls to you spirit, can you not hear?
He longs to anoint you and bathe you in grace
He smiles on your spirit, come seek His beautiful face
So beautiful. Your poetry blows me away.

🙂 Thank you Terri. I take that as such a compliment from you. There were many years that poetry was the only place that I could reach down to express myself in truth, in joy and in despair, it was my therapy and the place that I could really hear God’s voice and know that He was with me.
