Petals’ Dance

I must admit that a blogger that I most admire (Wendy from greenlightlady) has inspired the idea of putting her heart-reaching, spirit-touching poetry with photography.  Here is an attempt at something she is so very gifted at.

Petals’ Dance

Smiles from Heaven, light dances on a wing

Gentle breeze stirs life to Petals’ Dance

Here for so short a time yet its beauty we sing

A sign of summer’s beckoning romance

DSCF0947 - Version 2

Wooed by her beauty, the finest pure silk

Always smiling up at her lovely creator

Standing proud and strong against wind and rain

Gracing earth as her own, live theatre

Such precious jewels, not polished by man

Seeds sprouting treasure year after year

Clumsy hands never crafting such art

Morning dew landing a jewel of good cheer

The palest of pinks to the deepest crimson

They flutter and dance and they shimmer

From purple bells to blue clusters of smiles

Melodically swaying in the dance of sun’s glimmer

Whispers of the wealth of Heaven’s beauty

No precious gem could meet its glory

Though one may pass by, never taking note

If we listen, they speak Heaven’s story

From the formal stance of the Hollyhock’s spine

To Forget-Me-Nots close to the ground

The roses majestically protecting their prize

God’s majesty displayed all around

The feeling of silk as you reach for a petal

The joy of the sweet fragrance fills you

Creation waiting each year’s spring with patience

God smiling love and your spirit’s renewed

  1. i recently came out of a 6 day coma. HIS MIRACLE- I AM. There is nothing God can not seem to cease to amaze me at….but…your flowery poem just did. Thanks and thanks be to God.
He has made me SLOW down and gaze at HIS works.
We are simple creatures who take life too seriously and forget the goodness He has laid out in front of us. WONDERFUL post.

    • My goodness! What a wonderful story you have to tell of God’s loving hand! I am so glad to hear that you were given the gift of life again.
I am always amazed at the beauty that God paints all around us and even when we close our eyes, we can hear the songs of the birds 🙂
Thank you for your kind words and I am so happy that you are inspired and found meaning from this poem that He gave me.
God bless you and I pray you continue to heal.

      • again, thank you! i will gladly take all the prayers. I have learned that God speaks through us all at HIS convenience and to WHOM HE chooses. God is too big for any of us to even imagine. But this I know…He knows us by name. And He loves us so.

    • I’m pretty sure you leraned a lot about dancing throughout the year. So what are your plans for next year? I think it would be great if you learn different types of dances aside from those dances that you have already leraned this year. What do you think? It can be a great way to broaden your knowledge about dancing.

    • Yes, I did… most of them with my iPhone, which is sometimes a lot better than any other camera I’ve used! Thank you so much!

I love and appreciate feedback. Feel free to let me know what you think. Bless you lots, Easter Ellen
