I am so very blessed. To walk through depression (although it is an ongoing battle), I have had God’s hand over me both in subtle and more obvious ways. In this area, I’d like to share with you the best of my victories, and the worst of my days. From poetry, to simple thoughts, to devotions, join me in seeing the wonder of how God can bless you and your loved ones that may be affected by this daunting spiritual and mental battle.

  • Simple Simon - There once lived a dim-witted Simon Known as the sweet simple pieman Though he spoke very plain And never’d complain His pies were the best in the highlands
  • Blessed -   Emerald grass in a flower-filled field Rainbows lighting the sky Fluffy clouds dancing up above Resplendent with jewelled butterflies   The ocean filled with dolphins at play A whale waves his tail hello The wind is as calm as any summer’s eve The waves sparkle each one aglow   This perfect day leading to a perfect night Showing the best of creation Why must I wake from this perfect dream To... • Congregate -   Let us now congregate and fill our hearts with love Take our mind off of earthly things and set them on above   Let your spirit find joy and rest, set your mind at ease Be blessed on this holy day and fill your soul with peace
  • Conversant -   Too far gone to discuss it at all Too down deep for words to recall Too forlorn for words to describe So I sit and ponder as I scribe Conversant in the ways of a ghost Conversant with this unheavenly host Conversant with words that don’t make sense So I live with the numbing, so intense Wake up to reality covered in fog Wake up to broken words lost in the... • No Change -   I assay the situation but there is no change Still at the bottom of the recesses in my mind Why can’t I pull out through it?   Love lost should be recoverable But time just doesn’t seem to make a difference If I knew what to do, I would do it
  • Encrusted - Though she had given all of her heart to a man she fully trusted He left her with a broken heart That stagnated and rusted Time did not heal her wounds She never had adjusted She sank into a sad abyss Her heart fully encrusted
  • The Versatile Blogger Award -   Given to me by From my Lofty Hill. Thank you so much. 7 facts about myself (I am not sure that they will be that interesting but I will try). I am quite shy although I can cover it up when I need to. I am in love with my two dogs, Bella and Mario I often think in poetry; especially if I am down I love to do needlepoint although... • Sunshine Blogger Award and Questions Answered -   Q1: What is the name of your blogging site? Overcoming to Becoming / Easter Ellen Q2: Why you have decided to blog? I have blogged on and off for a few years now and do it mainly to let out the words that swim in my head, If I don’t write them it will build up. Also I enjoy the community space. Q3: Sharing thought on WordPress vs Sharing thought on other... Read More
  • Love Departed - There is no need for introduction This constant way of self-destruction Afraid to face the sorrow of the day She kept herself in trepidation Hidden from the sure damnation That filled her since her lover went away Surely if she faced the day She’d see that there’s another way To grab her fears and look them in the eye But sadly she was filled with sorrow Could not arise to face the... • Come to Me Lover -     To see your face, to feel your breath To feel your warmth above my breast The perfect softness of your lips The gentle graze of your fingertips   Let these last few weeks disappear With you over there and me over here I cannot bear this time apart I miss you from my very heart   Come lie beside me, your skin on mine Melting my heart, truly sublime With...
