Flowing Backwards
Inspired by todays “Daily Prompt” here is what I would do if I could Turn Back the Hands of Time.
Flowing Backwards
If time could flow backwards, there are moments I’d take
That sparkle with beauty, to relive them again
Reading with Mommy as we sat in the bed
Playing “eye–spy” with daddy as he cushioned my head
Fishing with friends on my dad’s clunky boat
The sun dancing like diamonds on the waves as we’d float
The first time I held each one of my four
Their eyes locked on mine; pierced to the core
First kisses, first dances, to feel them again
To have more than a memory; now all that remains
Yet, I’m happy and blessed as these memories sing
When I’m at my most down, they’re my everything
