Oh The Things She Thinks..
My daughter came into my room last night and ate a few almonds with cranberry pieces. I should stay with Mom a few moments. She is still yapping about me not coming this weekend to the cottage. Maybe if I sit with her, it will calm her.
“How are you feeling Mommy?” I tell her that I went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics for an infection from my nasty little kidney stone that is painfully dragging its way out of my body. I feel bad for her. I can see it in her face. I really need to take a shower. I’m so tired. “Awww… Mommy, sorry to hear that. Do you have something for the pain?” I should see if she will give me anything for those blisters that are still in my mouth from the reaction I got on Sunday to .. something.
“Yes, he did love. It is helping, but not enough to take away the pain.” Tomorrow is so busy. I have to call my boyfriend. I better get in the shower. “K Mommy, love you.” I do love her, but she loves when I say it. “I’m going to jump in the shower now and go to bed.” BF is waiting, so I better hurry. I’m so tired from texting him all night.. oh I love him so much… “Night Mommy”. She’s sad.. I will have to say a prayer for her. After I talk to him, of course. Oh.. better hurry! He’s waiting!
I love this! Your daughter is so honest and sweet. I hope all is fine with you. The story is well-written. 🙂

Thanks so much Morgan. As all 15-year-olds, her main focus is her social life. Now it is more her boyfriend. Her first. I tried to depict how she was trying to be sweet while her heart and head were just longing to get back to him.
Not yet 😦 Soon though. Went to the dr and got antibiotics.

This is lovely, really. How blessed you are to have a daughter who is so caring to set “self” aside, to inquire of your well-being. I suspect this is something which must be taught–especially by example. God bless you both!

Thank you so very much. She tries. She is coming out of the more selfish puberty years and trying hard to show empathy, care and love. She doesn’t always succeed, but she listens now when she wouldn’t a year ago. I am so proud of her for this.
Thank you for your kind words and blessing. 🙂

Thank you.. I wish I could say the same in all areas of my children’s lives. They have been through so much and are still recovering. Praying that my eldest will, though she has a kind and loving spirit.

Aw thanks Chelle. She is a sweetheart but she’s used to seeing me with these darn stones. Have you checked out coveyview yet many if the 101ers are there and sharing our part of the world. Meredith set it up and although it is very new it is growing.
