16 Comments on “Keeping Me Out

    • 🙂 Me too… It seems to be common with girls her age, as I speak to other mothers with daughters the same age.
      Hugs back and ttys. xox

  1. Dear Easter,
I hope you don’t mind me saying this…
I do not see “keeping you out”. I see lost. I do not see a child without love for her mother. She is at an age and mindset that she would not be in that car with you without her own willingness. I see love in her heart. Neither she nor her mind are old enough to understand motherhood. heartstrings. bonds. attachments. She doesn’t “get” your undying love. “YET”.
What I do see is a time era of a child and a saying from one mother to the next of…”this too shall pass”. Time does not stop running. Give her space and love to mature and the love it takes for her to breathe and become into her own. Sometimes going against the flow of water drowns the boat.. Sometimes turning the boat around will help guide and make the paddling easier.
Im sure you are doing all you can. May the peace of the Lord and ll his angels be with you and your daughter.

      • I went to bed last night over thinking my reply to you. I owe you an apology. I certainly am not a mother know it all. And please do not consider me one.
        I felt I had overstepped.
        Please forgive.
She is beautiful. I know as a mother we want the best and most for our children. And I do not know what is best for yours.
I will keep you and your daughter in my prayers. I know God never turns a deaf ear.

        • Oh my gosh Lisa there’s no need to apologize you always reach out from the care and love of your heart and I know that your motives and your actions are very pure

          • thank you. ill rest easier tonite.
sometimes writing and not being in someones space is so hard to convey heartfelt love. ESPECIALLY when it is ones child involved. I DO wish and pray for you nothing but love.
AGAIN…easter, she is lovely. God is NOT done with her yet. YOU stay strong.

            • It takes much courage to be up to speak the words that you spoke to me to speak from love. To speak so vulnerably from your own heart always takes courage and that comes from God

  2. You are ALWAYS in her heart! Hold your head high. She simply doesn’t understand your unconditional love for her. She will get it maybe not now but definitely some day! As stated above “May the peace of the Lord and all his angels be with you.” Always here for you!
