Part II – Question to Fellow Bloggers

Prompt from Daily Press Prompt of the Day

Hi there,

I already have written what my goals and thoughts are on what to offer, but i would love feedback on what is it that has drawn readers to you?  I have tried to organize with categories and tags, but I am still working on that.  There is so much to learn other than just the writing part?

So my question to you, my fellow bloggers, would be to ask you what did you focus on initially that you believe made your blog draw people to it?

Thanks so much in advance,

Easter Ellen

  1. Be yourself, and go to the WordPress reader, enter the subjects or places that interests you there- like in my case- hundreds of “Travel” blogs each day. Read them, like them, comment on them, write from your heart and you are underway!

      • Second The Rider, I did it too, in my case searched “dogs” and “new dogs” and read blogs, liked and commented. I do daily prompts but I embedded them in posts about my dog so that my blog theme stays consistent through time. My traffic is growing slowly but steadily but I am fine with that since I am reaching out to dog people and not everyone.

  2. I think just write from your heart. I never “wrote for readers” my first year or so of blogging and I never interacted with other bloggers but now that I have been connecting with other bloggers I’ve learned that when you write about things that everyone goes through then people can connect with you and will want to read what you have to say. 🙂

    • Thanks Anna – I believe that you are right. You do a wonderful job of putting all of life’s issues into God’s hands in a perspective that is deep and so completely giving to God.
