  1. Beautiful. However, since this is an exercise, Lorelle-the-teacher moves in with a swoop. 😀

Be specific. Faith, love, hope, and passion and overcoming life challenges is a lovely sentiment but be specific. Are you addressing this from the perspective of someone who is now 99 years old and looking back on their life? Are you talking about these subjects from the point of view and experiences of a disabled, handicapped, or physically or emotionally damaged person? Have you lived through war, bombs bursting in air and all that?

Or maybe your view point comes from a religious and spiritual background. If so, be specific about the journey to and through or out of your religious beliefs and evolution. Or one that has seen the best and the worst in people through your job as a counselor, doctor, social worker, missionary, or street person and you want to share the lessons learned that keep you keeping on.

Wherever your conception to this point, point B in your life, whatever your journey, that puts your opinions and advice on faith, love, hope, and passion into a context we can understand and appreciate.

Without that, you are just another person touting optimism without helping us understand why we should care about you and what you have to share.

By being specific, you help to identify your audience as well as your content strategies. To become a fan, I have to see a connection with you. Think back to someone you idolized as a teenager, a rock star, tv or movie star, teacher, family member, someone you felt connected to. More held you together than love and faith. Shared experiences, perceived or real, aspirations to be just like that person or not like that person drove you to appreciate them. By being specific, you open the door to creating relationships like that with others.

    I hope that helps.

    • Thanks so much… I will need some time first decide what part of my life to share and then to fit all of this into 10 words!
PS – I always value your feedback, so thank you again!

    • Ok.. I couldn’t get it into 10 words but I think that it is more focused and has that very personal (even raw) connection-producer element that you speak of. This, as I said, a lot more personal, but the story behind why it is so is partially in and will further be in the blog. Here it goes… let me know (please) what you think:

“I cried to the Lord and He heard me”, sharing faith, love & hope

I love and appreciate feedback. Feel free to let me know what you think. Bless you lots, Easter Ellen
